Eli Ross Dominates Night #1 of Big Dog in the PARK Classic at Kennedale Speedway Park

The Nutrien Ag Solutions REVIVAL Super Dirt Series Presented By Sunoco returned to action at Kennedale Speedway Park for Night #1 of the Big Dog in the PARK Classic Presented by Finish Line Outdoors, and it was Eli Ross putting on a dominant performance from start to finish.

Ross set the tone early, laying down overall quick time with a 14.454 lap, and never looked back. He led every lap of both the dash and the A-Feature to secure the victory. In addition to the win, Ross also earned the Highest Finisher on American Racer Tires Award presented by Day Motor Sports, capping off a perfect night.

Jon Mitchell showed strong speed as well, setting Group #1 quick time with a 14.507 lap and finishing second in the dash. In the feature, Mitchell was running in the second position when contact occurred while navigating a spinning lapped car driven by Ashlee Buck. The contact left his car loose, and after the restart, he made contact with the wall, dropping him back in the field. Mitchell rebounded to finish 5th, earning the Hooker Harness Safety at 5th Award.

Charging forward through the field, Jake Nightingale put together an impressive run, advancing five positions from his 7th starting spot to finish 2nd. Morgan Bagley followed closely behind, gaining seven positions from 10th to secure a 3rd place finish.

The Sunoco by 405 Performance Products Rookie of the Race went to Jerrett Bransom, who delivered a strong performance with a 4th place finish, also earning the Deatherage Opticians Better Vision at 4th Award.

Donnie Shipp claimed 7th place, picking up the Highest Finishing Crate Late Model Bonus along with the Wilwood Lucky 7 Award.

The Mel Hambelton Racing Hard Charger Award went to Drew Armstrong, who gained an impressive 10 positions during the A-Feature.

Following the event, Eli Ross now leads the South Region points standings with 980 points, holding a 30-point advantage over Morgan Bagley at 950. Chris Bragg sits third, 90 points behind Ross, while Drew Armstrong and Jon Mitchell round out the Top 5.

Unfortunately, Night #2 of the Big Dog in the PARK Classic was canceled due to rain.

The Nutrien Ag Solutions REVIVAL Super Dirt Series Presented By Sunoco will now turn its attention to the next event, as the series looks to kick off the North Region at the Dave Garmann Memorial at Thomas County Speedway on May 1st and 2nd, featuring two complete shows.
